    In the VI Pro player, under the Perform tab, what is the precise relationship between  3 - Velocity Fade slider, and 12 - Velocity Fade tick box?  

     

    For example in an orchestral string patch, If I am using the default mapping of CC2 to 3 - Velocity XFade slider, surely playback goes through the various velocity layers according to CC2 - in which case what is the 12 - Velocity XFade tick box actually for? In what sense is it global; what does it include?
