The VST3 version of FabFilter Pro Q3 does not work properly in VE Pro but it works fine in all other VST hosts that I have. In VE Pro it kinda works but is unable to show the live graph of the audio, so I can't actually see the audio coming in and what the EQ is doing. The VST2 version works fine. I would really like a fix for this as I would prefer to use the VST3 versions.

I can confirm what you are seeing. This is a known (not-VSL-related) issue and Fabfilter explains this as an FAQ on their website:
