I spent a good few days setting up my new template, routing everything, etc. Was working perfectly and then suddenly, with zero change, stops working. VEP7 says Kontakt instances can't properly be recalled (nothing was changed). VEP7 won't load play even its Synchron Piano plugins - everything loads fine, but when the keyboard or the note through Dorico is triggered, the VEP7 "freezes," for lack of a better word. I see MIDI indicator light up briefly and the volume level triggered - but no sound and the level just sits there stuck.
Why would a piece of software work one day, and with zero difference, suddenly stop working? I have uninstalled, reinstalled, rolled back version of VEP7. I have restarted the computer, tried making an entirely new project, and it's still the same issue. And yet the standalone plugins all work (Synchron Piano, Kontakt 7, etc).
This kind of thing is an absolute killer for creativity and productivity; if the software isn't reliable, you can't get any work done. Big time suck. I have attached a picture of what the plugin does when the MIDI note is triggered.
