  • A little piece for saxophone quartet and piano, just for fun

I just finished a little piece for saxophone quartet (SYNCHRON-ized Saxophones) and piano (Synchron Yamaha), just to explore possibilities of sound of saxophones.

For who is interested: Little Saxophone Party

And indeed, there is a little "white lie" (is that good English?, this is a translation by Google), because the soprano saxophone plays one note that is probably to high for a live player...

  • So, after replying to your comment on my thread, I had a listen to your new saxophone quartet and piano piece.  Delightful, charming, and a whole lot of fun!  Congratulations :) For me, the sound of saxophones has always been a little difficult to appreciate, (much to the chagrin of my wife that plays them), but they absolutely deserve their place on the stage, as evidenced by pieces like yours.

    Cheers!

  • Although I don't think many people read these threads so I'm rarely tempted to post my own VSL-composed stuff here (particularly as most of my works are long) , I enjoy on occasion dipping in and this little piece is an absolute charmer. Perhaps that high squeak in the soprano sax is indeed not really playable but then who cares....
