    Well ... Unix won't help a lot! ;-D

  • I'm wondering if I've understood the implication of this correctly.

It looks as though MIR Pro's rendering time will be sub 2 ms or less than 88 samples at 44.1khz.

This would in effect mean even playing percussion in realtime with instruments inside a MIRPro room should be possible ?

It's pretty good now - but appears to be about to take a huge step forward in terms of performance ?

  • You're spot-on. :-)

Please don't mistake the following lines as announcement, they are just expressing my own expectations: I hope that we will be able to keep MIR's own buffer size at 0 and the system latency at really low values without sacrificing the number of instances and/or channels (3D!) per instance, while freeing up the CPU for other tasks such as sample players, other plug-ins, and so on.

    Kind regards,

  • Mir is performing well except when it is crashing because Ilok is not reliable.

Today I was working and suddenly I had a message (see attached)

Logic and MIR went in a dead loop

The solution if that is happening is to FORCE QUIT MIR so you can save your work in Logic

  • Hi Cyril,

sorry to hear that you are having problems with your iLok Cloud - it could well be that your internet connection was faulty. But in any case - please do us and yourself a favour and don't post such reports in announcement thread on a completely different topic. Would make more sense to report to VSL support directly.

    Thanks for your understanding!

    HI Dietz

As I said I am very happy with MIR PRO 3D and I looking forward for more information about the GPU Audo

In casse of dead loop I was giving the trick to other user so they do loose there work as I almost loose my work.

Having force quit MIR allowed Logic to comme out of the dead loop so I could save my work ðŸ˜Š

The solution if that is happening is to FORCE QUIT MIR so you can save your work in Logic

I have a fibber connection, the problem maybe on Ilok servers ?

Support is "au courant" that there are problems with Ilok

    Best regards

    Cyril

  • I don't have much more insight into these developments yet than any other user. I assume that VSL's developers have more info, but for the time being, it's actually advisable to ask hardware-specific questions directly at GPU Audio, as it's their underlying technology.

    Kind regards,

    Hello everyone,

The day many people have eagerly awaited since the first announcement of VSL's cooperation with GPU Audio is finally here! Boost your MIR Pro 3D audio work dramatically (up to 50% or even more) on both Mac & Windows by harnessing the full, raw power of your graphics cards!

It couldn't be simpler: Press the "GPU POWER" button in MIR Pro 3D - and you will see how the GPU takes over and does the lion's share of processing, freeing up your CPU for other tasks.

More plugins? More tracks? Lower audio buffer? Multiple sessions, side by side? Push the limits of your hardware by freeing up CPU resources when it matters the most!

Both Vienna Power House and Vienna MIR Pro 3D + all 3D Room Packs are on sale right now, and you can test this new technology risk-free with 30-days demo licenses.
