  • Logic and it's various plugs! .. oh yeah and a theme

Well I'm sure you've done this too. Where one day your playing around with the vast lists of VSL instruments and then you suddenly wonder .. "What the hell do all these other things do?"

And you sit scratching your head for a minute ... grab a coffee .. come back and load up Sculpture, or ES1, ES2, EVOC PS or Ultrabeat. And it stumps you for a second that there's anything even worth looking at if you've got the VSL. However, I found myself looking around them and tried out some of the presets. And amongst this analogue synth hell .. there was bliss! I actually found sounds that I liked. Tried out ultrabeat .. nice! Still don't no how to make it do what I want but not bad at all.

Also, I tried out the demo Cello Stac's from the Horizon Chamber strings. I've never thought much of them except .. 'Bah! What do I need them for'. Well now I know. I need them SOOOOOO badly it hurts! My Elven Moods' romantic pieces would certainly benefit from the Chamber strings so as soon as I can I'm buyng them.

Anyways, I made this little theme using the Cello patch from 'Chamber Strings', a pfp from 'Epic horns', and my oh so brilliant perf_f_Grace flute from 'Cube FE', and a host of logics synth tone generators. The beat is provided by my Korg triton and there's also some high pitched synth noises from my Roland XP-30. The reverb is again my preset for AUMatrixreverb ... 'Hetoreyns Concert Reverb'

It's just a fun little theme, it could even be a title tune to a high tech, light hearted, heist movie or something. But It's a test of logics own plugs and I'm quite impressed by them. It's only short. Not sure where the slight 'arabic' thing came from.

    Anyways, have a listen ;D

It's called 'Misc theme Demo' ... wow original name huh!
