Hi.
Just wondering if there is a different method for setting a static IP address for a slave PC in Windows 11 Pro to Windows 10 Pro for VEPro (7.1.1406).
I am trying to use a similar config from a tutorial wHich basically set the Mac as 10.0.0.1 Submet 255.255.255.0 etc, then the slave as 10.0.0.2. This seemed to work fine with W10 but my template for Dorico doesn’t seem to want to recognize the machine.
Just wondering if anyone has had issues with this setup for Windows 11. I’ve done all the ports and inbound rules etc, from the Help section but no luck so far. Of course it reads my old computer fine! Typical of course.
Cheers and thanks in advance, Simon.
Edit: Seems there was multiple entries for Ve pro in the Windows 11 firewall. Allowed both and now is working. Not that I’m 100% sure that was exactly the problem but good enough for now! Thanks

Network Setup for Windows 11 Slave to MacBook Pro Monterey Intel

I see you already solved this, but fwiw, I have both a Windows 10 and a Windows 11 slave working with my M1 Macbook Pro (VEP in Digital Performer under Rosetta). I did not set static IP addresses as I have all three running into a 10G switch, then a router that connects to our home network. Static should work fine as well, as long as you turn off or configure the firewall (I always turn off all of Windows' security - Defender, firewall, etc for sample servers and audio work in general).
