  • Does the new Synchron Fazioli have una corda/fourth pedal samples

The website mentions the 4th pedal & una corda with the new Synchron Fazioli. I’m curious if the 4th pedal & una corda were actually sampled or if it is an emulated effect, as with previous Synchron pianos.

    Thanks.

  • Great question! +1

  • We feel most proud to be the only company on the market for sample libraries allowed to use the name Fazioli for our library product. I hope you understand, but in the case of our Synchron Fazioli F308 library we are not going to issue information on certain internal production details.

  • What a strange answer to such a straightforward question...

Michael is a great person. But in this case I agree that this is a disturbing answer 😀😀😀
It can only mean that Technology is the Solution … not Samples.

  • Our connection with Fazioli is also a matter of mutual trust of our companies, so we don‘t share internal information to the public. To put it simple, any discussion about our production process doesn‘t have influence on the quality of the library itself actually. Simply enjoy the F308! Best, Michael

Does that scoop on the hood of your car mean it has a supercharger?

Sorry, trade secret.  Can't tell you that.  It's "internal information."  Just buy it and enjoy the ride.  😕

By now, VSL's refusal to answer makes it obvious that it's not sampled.  Which is fine.  Just answer your customers honestly.

How can you say that what you do in your process does not influence the quality of your library when all your advertising touts your magic robot and your hundreds of thousands of samples and other aspects of your process... when it's to your advantage to publish that information.  And how come publishing THAT information about your sampling process does not prejudice your mutual trust with Fazioli whereas answering legitimate customer questions about YOUR product would?

I personally don't care.  I'll either buy the library or I won't.  But it seems unbecoming to reply to your customers as if they are idiots.

BTW, this post is intended as constructive criticism.

Jane, any criticism is most welcome, but if an example falls short, it‘s not necessarily a good comparison. Of course it‘s a logical consequence that the production process has influence on the quality of a product, but I’ve written a discussion about this process wouldn‘t change anything. Suggestions regarding the Synchron Piano Player would be evaluated very carefully, any feedback is much appreciated. I guess I‘ve made our point of view in this matter pretty clear and I can‘t see any disadvantage for our customers at all.

    Best, Michael
