So, I've installed MIR PRO 3D and the RoomPacks and was able to load my MIR PRO 2D VEP projects without issues.
In my setups, I often route MIR's wet signal into a dedicated bus (meaning, I'm not not using the "inline" option), but when I do that with new (iLok) installations of VEP and MIR PRO 3D I am always getting a distorted signal. I believe any sound card/Cubase settings can be ruled out as the distortion immediately disappears as soon as I change the MIR signal routing from the dedicated bus back to "inline".
Another interesting observation: when I set the MIR latency to very high/highest values (e.g., 32768), I can actually hear two distinct instances of the same VEP signal playing in an "echo", as if there is a copy of the VEP signal somewhere that is running in parallel to the original signal but is delayed by MIR's latency setting.
Can anybody confirm this behavior on their end?
Also, the issue is occurring both in project files using VSL libraries and software only and in files which use third party instruments (e.g., Kontakt).
