  • MIR Pro 3D Offline Bounce in Pro Tools adds noise at start of bouce

    Hi there,

Whilst mixing audio through MIR Pro 3D in Pro Tools all works as expected. Real time playback is perfect.

When I go to stem out my mix by bouncing offline I get a burst of low level noise from MIR Pro 3D at the very start of the bounce file.

Pro Tools 2020.6, Pro Tools 2020.9 MIR Pro 7.0.520 (latest) Mac Pro 2013 64GB RAM (intel) OS 12.6

    Thanks in advance,

    Christian

  • Hi Christian,

sorry to hear that you're facing problems.

I use MIR 3D in a similar setup like yours a lot (although with a more recent version of ProTools in an older MacOS). As a matter of fact I just did final offline-exports for about two hours of 3D music production. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places, but as far as I can tell there were no unwanted noises, neither at the beginning of  the exported files nor anywhere else.

Just to rule out any other variable: Does this also happen in a test project, when you don't use any other plug-ins than MIR Pro? If so - can you please send us the respective ProTools session, including the rendered export? (-> support@vsl.co.at). A few seconds of audio would be sufficient.

    TIA,

  • Hi TIA,

    Thanks for your reply.

I will send this later today.

Just some more info - If I bounce in real time my stems are perfect! I just takes twice as long ;).

This is from my same template that has ben tried and tested with the older MIR Pro - Pre 3D.

It sounds so awesome by the way.

    All the best,

    C

  • Great to hear that you like MIR 3D! :-)

When sending your exemplary PT-session to support@vsl.co.at please make sure to include the support-file that the most recent versions of VSL's "Assistant" app are able to generate. TIA!
