  • Synchron Player does not show library content

    Hello

I am having problems getting my VSL-libraries to work in my DAW Cubase. I recently moved all my Instrument and Sample content to a external Drive to save some space and decided to reinstall my VSL-libraries (Vienna Smart Orchestra and all the free Instruments). I followed all the steps on the website to install my products (switched from elicenser to iLok, downloaded the vienna assistant, activated my iLok licenses and installed all the libraries in the vienna assistant with no big issues), but when I open the synchron player in Cubase it does not show any oft he libraries that I installed. I am using Windows 10. I also changed the download and the library location to my external hardrive (left the VST2 location on default). I also made sure that Cubase is looking for the Content folder in the plugin manager. I hope you can help me out with this issue.

    Best,

    Florian

  • Unfortunately, I can not be of any help as I am having the exact same problem this time with my two new paid VSL libraries not showing up in the Synchron Player when using both Digital Performer and Unify. The Synchron player recognizes all the free content I've downloaded, just not the paid content (both of which are properly licensed through the iLok manager). I also added both new libraries in the Synchron's Player Database through the preferences. I am also on Windows 10. I hope someone has an answer to our problem.

  • Hello Florian and Steph,

Please get in touch with support@vsl.co.at, best with screenshots of the sample content location, your Vienna Assistant that shows the install location of all installed products and your Synchron Player Preferences / Database. They should all show the same location.

Ideally, add a screenshot of your iLok License Manager.

I'm sure we can sort this out.

    Best,
    Paul

  • You better come up with a solution. I updated the player only and the same sh.. happened. Instruments VST works.

  • Hi Robsi60,

Please make sure that the drive you are using is not exFAT-formatted. If the issue persists, please get in touch with u via support@vsl.co.at with information about your system and the situation - thank you!

    Kind regards,
    Andreas

  • Too Late. I figured all out. NTFS was one problem but not easy to determine. I had a spare SSD and formatted it to NTFS and moved the files from exFAT to it.They were detected though they were exFAT. Now I have two perfectly running installations. Took a while but time is my currency. I think Vienna Assistant is one of the smarter manager.
