    I am using VI Saxophones in order to create rehearsal pieces for a Saxophone Orchestra I play in. I am occasionally hitting problems with the range of the VI instrument.

    For example, an Alto Saxophone (written) range is Bb below middle C to F#,  2 and a bit octaves higher, yet the Alto VI only goes to high D. Is there a way that I'm missing of extending the range to get the upper few notes? These notes are not unusual in modern saxophone music.

    Hi Peter,

    You can extend in Vienna Instruments Pro  the range of all instruments (you have to do this for every patch again).

    I made an image. After clicking on "Advanced" at the red 1 and clicking on the sign at the red 2 you can add a few notes by dragging the slider at the red 3 to the right.

    If you don't have Vienna Instruments Pro, you can get it free of charge when you change from e-licenser to Ilok.
