After installation of a new MacStudio on Monterey latest patch, VSL libs + players latest we see Logic Pro 10.7.4. hang after trying to open old Logic Songs. The elicenser conversion can´t establish a connection to the VSL server. We use Watchguard UTMs with active services for network security - intrusion prevention etc.
Can you give us info
- on which ports the VSL software communicates
- which DNS / hostnames should be whitelisted

Here's the information I received from our development team:
host: vservice.vsl.co.at
port: 80
We’d expect that most firewalls have a port 80 open.
It uses a custom protocol over that port though. Perhaps you have some “smart” firewall that checks what protocol is used, and disallows anything but https?
