I just upgraded to MIR Pro 3D. Do I need to uninstall the old MIR program and room packs before installing the 3D version?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Michael,
great to hear that you upgraded!
MIR 3D will replace legacy MIR Pro. While the "official" way is to uninstall the latter before installing the former, I can say - totally unofficial ;-) - that you can in fact install MIR 3D on top of an existing MIR Pro installation. BUT!! You MUST install the 3D RoomPacks in any case! Venues are not compatible between legacy Pro and 3D.
... you don't have to de-install the "old" RoomPacks if you can afford the disk space, though. That way you could always simply re-install legacy MIR Pro if you think you need it for a bit-identical recall of an older mixing session.
HTH,
Hi,
not sure this is on topic but I just upgraded as well, had some problems with crashing but yesterday's update seems to have fixed that. I downloaded Fabio Amurri's projects but can't play through them without breaking up. My Buffer size is at the max 2048 but the CPU is off the charts at the louder sections. Below are my computer's main specs.
Windows 10 Pro.
Cubase Pro 12.0.4
Intel core i7-8700 8th Gen Coffee Lake 6-core w/HT 3.7 GHz.
4 Samsung SSD drives, (3 m.2, 1 SSD).
64GB DDR4 3200 RAM.
Antelope Zen Studio
Am I going to have to upgrade my CPU to be able to handle the MIR 3D?
Thanks!
Resolved. I was changing the buffer size on my sound card. Once I changed it in MIR Pro 3D that worked.
