    Hello,

I just installed both the updates - VE Pro 7 and Mir PRO 3D

After launching VE Pro when I try to open an existing server project VE Pro crashes.

No crash handler show up. I have attached the logs/sentry-db

    Running on Windows 10.

Anyone else experiencing the issue ? If so did you find a solution.

    Regards

    Ram

  • Hi,

Yes, I experience the same problem. I can't access any of my older projects, many of which I need to revisit with 3D. Also running Win10. Rather frustrating. I've sent a few crash logs when prompted as everything crashes. Any ideas? I'm going through the manual but can't seem to find any clues.

    Thanks!

  • Hi @RomeBone54

The update today (08/18/2022) seem to have fixed the issue. Now I am able to open old server projects.

Make sure you install the update using Vienna Assistant

  • Thanks so much. looks like that did the trick. I also had some routing issues but I seem to have gotten those fixed as well.

  • There still seems to be a problem when opening old VEP7 projects which use MIR Pro (24, non 3D) in 2 or more instances. On my slave PC (running Win 10) the first instance loads fine (including firing up MIR Pro 3D 24) but MIR consistently crashes while the 2nd instance is loading.

The error message is "You opened a multi-instance Vienna Ensemble Pro project. Please save your project after successful conversion to a tabbed Venue project!" There is also crash report window which I have used to submit details.

My workaround is to remove MIR from all but one VEP7 instance, reload MIR and save each tab separately, then reload all the MIR tabs and re-save the rebuilt VEP7 project (which is now stable), but this is time-consuming for large projects.

    Versions: VEP7 7.1.1406, MIR Pro 3D (24) 7.0.507
