  • Bosendorfer imperial user patches and touch

Hi lovely people, Iā€™m a professional pianist recording for my YouTube channel.  I have purchased the vsl bosendorfer imperial for recording my videos and love it.  Iā€™m not sure what is the best sound for someone just wanting to play solo ballads so that it sounds like it is as close as possible to being recorded in a studio.  Does anyone have any presets they could kindly share or advice please?

Also, I have a Roland v piano, a Roland fp90x, a casio privia s 1100 and a kawai es7.  The only piano I can get the touch to feel like a real piano and that it is responds is the old v piano.  Is this normal? Any advice please?

This is a link to my YouTube channel for anyone who wants to see what kind of music I play to help with the best preset https://youtube.com/c/HelenClarkePianist

thanking you in anticipation for all of the knowledge you all have,

    Helen

Helen, if the Intimate preset is not intimate enough for you, you may try to only switch on the close microphones. If you also have the Full version of the piano, you will get the Ribbon and the Tube ones, making for a very warm sounds.

Add a touch of room mics, and you get a close sound, with just the right, dreamy halo.
