I guess fixing this little bugette wasn't a target of the latest VEP 7.1.1245, out today.
The good news is, in these new VEP (iLok) client plugins the workaround of double-clicking the instance name still makes the connection to the VEP server.
In my 2017 iMac with newly VA-installed VEP 7.1.1245, I've done spot checks in all combinations of:- Logic 10.4.8/10.7.3/AUv2/AUv3 – Cubase 12 VST2/VST3 – Dorico 4 VST2/VST3 – Big Sur 11.6.5 – Monterey 12.3.
In all the above cases, VEP client plugin Connect behaviour was found to be the same as previously in VEP 7.1.1239, i.e. the Connect button does nothing, but double-clicking the instance name makes the connection correctly.
