  • Problem with VEP7 ilok (pre-ilok server projects not working)

I had my template (VEP Server project) created with VEP7 and was using it with both Cubase 11 and Reaper.

Since the ilok conversion, the template can still be opened, but no sound gets back to Reaper or Cubase.

If i make a new project in VEP7, it works fine. So it seems that my pre-ilok projects needs to be processed in order to work with ilok VEP7. I tried to save as my template in order to see if it would make this work, but not successfully.

Can you still use your VEP projects ? Do I need to do something ?

I am on PC, VEP Server 7.1.1239, latest updates from Cubase and Reaper.

    Cheers,

    Fabrice

  • I'm having this same issue somewhat. After switching to VEP7 ilok, any instrument with the Vienna EQ on the track does not sound. I need to remove the EQ for things to work. Sadly, I need to go through each track using Vienna EQ and convert it to a 3rd party EQ which, of course, is a huge pain.

  • Hello!

Thank you for your reports. There is a known issue where using the integrated Vienna Suite Pro - Equalizer Pro FX plugin can cause signal problems when the 1st or 8th band is activated. Deactivating those should instantly restore functionality. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are going to look into this issue.

    Best regards,
    Andreas Rautner
