  • MIR Pro Roompack Install Problem with Vienna Assistant

    Hi

    I'm using a 2019 iMac with 32 GB memory & 1TB hard disc & a Samsung 500GB T5 for samples.

I've tried four times to install the Konzerthaus roompack but itfails each time. VA either crashes or seems to install properly but VEPro gives an error message that Default, vmi is missing.

I've tried install the room pack in both the default location  - library/application support/vsl/ vienna mir pro - and in my application folder, but i don't see a file called Default.vmi anywhere.

    What's the solution? Thanks, ColinD

  • Hi Colin,

sorry to hear that you're facing problems.

Please make sure that you indeed downloaded and installed the RoomPack meant to be used for MIR Pro. It's a common misunderstanding to select MIRx Venues instead.

Apart from that please make sure to point MIR Pro to the proper file path in its Preferences.

If you still can't solve your issue, please get in contact with support@vsl.co.at ASAP, including all the necessary info like OS versions, hosts etc.. VSL's support team will take care for the problem.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi everybody,

i have exactly the same issue after having moved to ilk via VA.

    MIR standalone works without problem.

Please see our iLok FAQs -> https://www.vsl.co.at/en/Hello_iLok:

The following products will be iLok compatible a bit later:

    • Vienna Suite (Vienna Suite Pro is already available with iLok authorization)
    • VI Vienna Imperial
    • Vienna MIR Pro Plug-in
The plug-in version of MIR is the one that you can instantiate directly in your DAW. The MIR version that’s implemented in Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 is already available with iLok authorization.
