    Hi,
    I have a HP z640 Dual Xeon with a total of 36 cores and 256GB RAM.

    When I load my 23 instance VE Pro Server X64 v 7.0.1120 project, it picks either of the CPUs at startup, and doesn't distribute onto the other CPU so can only use half the power of the system. I've tried setting the default threads so that the total exceeds the 36 that a single 18 core CPU provides, but still nothing on the 2nd CPU. 

    If I run Prime95 all 36 cores are used so this isn't about Windows.

    Does anyone else have a dual socket machine they could test this on?

    My guess is that this is a limitation of VE Pro Server and multi socket support would be a feature request.

    To illustrate the behaviour the below is the task manager NUMA view of CPU utilization with VE Pro Server x64 V7.0.1120 running:


    By comparison here's what this looks like running Prime95:

    So it appears that VE Pro Server X64 v 7.0.1120 can only use half the power of this dual CPU machine.

    If there isn't a fix for the current version could this be added to the list of feature requests?

    Hi!

    We are experiencing the same issue on our installation (VEP Server x64 v7.0.1120, Dual Xeon v4, 256GB RAM).

    All the processing is done by the first CPU, and the second one is completely idle.
