  • CPU Spikes Synchron Player and Studio One

Hello, i have a problem with cpu spikes in Studio One when i recording Automation (cc1 ,cc11,cc8) with Synchron Player. I have a month searching what cause these spikes with no success. Radomly starts a pulsing cpu . I don't know if this is my problem , or Presonus problem , or Synchron player Problem...Probably mine...

The problem starts when i start record automations only to a prerecorded midi track.

I include a dropbox link with a video of my DAW

My specs is AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X 16-Core Processor    3.50 GHz

                        RAM 64.0 GB

    ARTURIA KEYLAB 88 MKII

Behringer FirePower FCA610 connected through Firewire port to an external pci card.

Please help , i can not work any more.

after several failed attempts for fixing , i installed the ASIO4ALL drivers. M y behringer FCA610 probably is outdated. This model is legacy model .

With Asio4all cpu spikes happens more rare. When i overload with automation spikes....And then i discovered that probably the Behringer FCA610 needs external power. In the manual Behringer said that the soundcard takes power from firewire cable and no need for power adaptor. But i discovered thas when i plugged in the power adaptor become more stable (plus the ASIO4ALL)

Let's see today if the problem insists

Question : In CPU meter (synchron player) what is the red peak and how much is the identical level?

this is a video after asio4all and plugged power adaptor.

    VIDEO DAW

PS: Sorry for my bad english

  • Yes I saw your video clip - my sympathies; that's seriously and weirdly spikey.

Hope you saw Ben's comments about Nvidia's optional Studio Drivers in that thread, but I don't know if it's an option for your system.

I download the latest nvidia studio driver for nvidia 1660 ti windows 11. In playback cpu 0.6 peak 1-2%.... But if i flood it with quick automations or many voices and spike just one peak spike then it needs restart the daw. I don't know how to refresh it without restart. I think NVidia driver help a lot. Is there any hint to refresh daw if it peak spikes? What are best settings for synchron Player engine? For AMD threadripper 16Core 2950X, 64 RAM, Samsung 1TB NVMe

  • No hope... Spikes again...
