  • [SOLVED] VE PRO 7 making cubase 11 to stuck while loading projects

    Hi There,
For some reason my VE PRO 7 stopped working correctly.
I'm not able to load any session in Cubase pro 11. 0.40 containing  a VE PRO 7 server as a VST3 or VST2, Cubase freezes during the load of the session. it get stuck when loading the audio channels from the VE pro server connection.

The only way i can open the cubase sessions is if I delete the VST 2 and VST 3 dll from cubase folder
My version of windows is Windows 10 PRO 21H2 Build 19044.1466

I will tell you what I have tried so far:

I uninstalled the VE pro 7.0.11.20 and Installed again, I also installed a previous version, but nothing changed.

I updated the eLicenser control center and I did a repair, but nothing changed.
I uninstalled cubase and installed again, and nothing changed.

I Took out all the VST and VST3 plugins from cubase and one by one put them back in order to see what was the plugin making the issue, and I founded out that the only vst that stop the Cubase's loading is the "vienna ensemble pro x64".
It looks like it get stuck in some audio channels from the VE pro server.

I also did a new project and as soon as I tried to create a rack or track using the "vienna ensemble pro x64" server Cubase freeze.

I did a restore backup using a System disk image and I went back to last year were everything was working good, but the probleme persiste. ( This is incredible!)

These sessions are made to work with slaves computers, but the problem is still there when the slaves computers are disconnected .

I've never experienced something like this, I have work with VE PRO for more than 10 years.

Are you aware of this issue?
    What else can I do?
is there a way to completely uninstall VE PRO 7
Deleting a key from the register or deleting folders like VSL CUsersFCOBECKERAppDataRoaming?

    Thanks for your help

  • Solved!

It was the driver of the ethernet network.

The only thing I don't understand is how is possible that after I did a restore backup using a System disk image the system keep the bad driver?

I mean normally it should go back with the good ethernet driver, but it didn't.

Maybe I should have done a complete formating disk before the restoration process?

    I hope this helps anyone

    Thanks anyway
