  • Synchron Player - Stretch On Keyswitch?

As the title indicates, I can't find the option in the controller list to turn stretching on and off. I'm wondering why this has been left out? Or am I missing something? (more likely... :-)

    Thanks,

    Kenneth.

  • Hi Kenneth,

As real-time time-stretching is quite a CPU-demanding task, we decided to "only" make the stretch factor an assignable control.

  • +1 to make it an option to turn off/on via MIDI. I discovered this same limitation today.

It's even more demanding when you have it enabled for a bunch of instruments that don't need it...!

So having the option to turn it on via MIDI seems like a logical approach.  Why wouldn't you do it that way?  As it is right now I tab over, find the instrument that needs it turned on and turn it on with the mouse.

So... what's the difference in doing it with MIDI?

  • It would be much better to be able to optimize CPU usage by being able to selectively turn stretching on and off when it's needed or not. This is of critical importance to the way I make use of the libraries in that much of the music is procedurally rendered in real-time.

Please consider this a feature request for a future update.

    Thanks, Kenneth.

  • Hi Guys,

None of the slot-specific controls is automatable. It also doesn't make sense, as so many slots in a dimension tree are parent-slots and therefore empty.

So this would also imply a different controller for every slot, if you don't want to accidentally ruin the performance of your machine.
