  • [SOLVED] macOS 12 - virtual keyboard shows keys 1 octave too high

    Hi,

After update to macOS Monterey 12.0.1, my midi piano (Kawai CA91) causes the virtual keyboard in Vienna Synchron Pianos to show the pressed keys one octave too high.

However, the pitch I am hearing is correct.

    Please fix.

    I'm using a 2018 MacBook Pro (Intel).

  • I am experiencing the same with the latest Synchron Piano v1539. I can confirm that the MIDI messages are correct (other VSTi's are fine). This appears to have an impact to per-note tuning as well.

  • I just noticed the same problem yesterday. OS 12.0.1 Monterey with latest Synchron Piano update and Roland FP30X. I actually came here to start a thread on this subject. Glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem.

    God Bless,

    David

  • Hi, I must confirm this flaw in Synchron Pianos v1539 - this will be fixed with the next update!

Thanks for reporting and my apologies for the inconveniences!

    Hi,

Sorry about that delay, I hope we can add this fix soon. It's holiday time in Austria...

On Catalina, you can of course always simply roll back to the previous version:

    1) Uninstall the current version with the included Uninstaller

    2) Download and install the previous version from our Downloads Archive.

    Paul

  • Installed the update yesterday and it fixed the octave misalignment.

Thanks VSL. You're doing a great job.

    God Bless,
