  • Synchron Pianos - Light versions

I've just registered so first things first: Hi to everyone!

I've got a few questions regarding Synchron Pianos and other related to buying VSL products.

    1. Is the Concert D-274 Light the only piano in 'light' version available? I haven't found mentions about any other (e.g. CFX). If so, are there any plans to create 'light' versions of others?
    2. Can Concert D-274 Light be bought as a separate product or it's only available through acquisition of SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition Volume 1?
    3. If I buy SYNCHRON-ized library mentioned above, is there any option to crossgrade to any of the Standard Synchron Pianos later? How the price would be calculated then?

For the last few years VSL offerings were a 'no-go' for me because I'm not a fan of USB-based licensing. Well, I changed my mind thanks to announced iLok migration and current Vienna Key pricing - ordered one today. I'm asking those questions because only instrument I'm planning to use is the piano - purely for my own enjoyment, as I'm just a hobbyst. I have or had all the other popular piano VIs but it's time for 'ultimate' solution. I'm interested in Light versions since Close mic + Room mix for ambience is more than enough for my needs. Maybe 30 layers as well - not sure my not-so-young laptop would be able to handle full version and I don't want to be in a position where I paid >250EUR for software I'm not able to use.

I'm waiting to get the answers!

    Thanks
    Karol

  • Welcome Karol,

Great to see you join our community!

I'll get straight to your questions:

    1) Yes, the Concert D-274 is the only light version of our Synchron Pianos.
    2) It is "only" available with our SY-ized Special Edition Volume 1 (currently on sale!!)
    3) You can always check these upgrade paths by adding products to your basket. Every product in the basket counts as "registered", and "your price" will change accordingly on the product pages where a potential upgrade path exists.

    Best,
    Paul
