  • VEP 7 not recognizing VST plugins

    Hello,

I recently downloaded VEP 7 on my PC to use remotely via ethernet with my MacBook. I installed all of my plugins on an internal SSD, and they are all showing as installed correctly. When I open a channel in VEP, only three of my VSTs are showing up as available plugins to use. I went to Preferences / Plugins, and set the correct directory location for all of my samples, then proceeded to rescan them all. During this time, VEP goes through every plugin effectively, showing each plugin name as it scans them all. But when this is complete, I am still unable to load them in a new instance.

These plugins are installed correctly, and work just fine in their respective standalone modes outside of VEP. I have rescanned the correct location about ten times to no avail, I have also redownloaded VEP, as well as deleted the Roaming VSL file in AppData. I am at a loss as to what to do next, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Same issue over here with Windows 10. I'm going to revert back a version and see if it makes a difference.

Also, ViennaEnsemblePro-macOS-7.0.1056 is not connecting to a known and good VEP7 instance on an identical system over ethernet, whether connected directly or over an unmanaged switch.

  • Be sure your using the VST2 versions. VEP doesn't yet use VST3.

  • Confirm the above responses.  I'm on Windows 10, and my standalone VEP7 scans my chosen VST2 folders like it should, however, all of the post scanned, found plugs appear GRAYED OUT in the plug-in VST listing.

    Why is this happening?

Also... why is VEP7 standalone stereo only?
