Violins Orchestra pPo is showing in orange and is unavailable

Running Orchestra and a sample within both the Matrix and the Preset is showing up in orange and is unavailable. It is: "03 VI-14 perf-portamento" I cannot seem to get this to load. What can I do to refresh this in my system?

Mid 2012 Mac Pro, OS 10.13.6 - Running Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 (latest update) Vienna Instruments Pro Advanced.

Which matrix or preset did you load exactly?
There seems to be a wrong assignment in this matrix/preset. The patch from "Orchestral Strings I" is actually called "04 VI-14 perf-portamento". It should be possible to replace the patch by dragging it from the PATCH browser onto the cell.

It is from the Violins Orchestra, called: "L1 VI-14 Perf-Legato Speed+porta"

I just dragged it in but do I have to do this each and every time that I want to use this patch? Is there some way to save this?

Hello Ross!

I have checked this matrix. It loads the correct patch "04 VI-14 perf-portamento" here. I would install the Orchestral Strings library update.

Anyway, you can of course save your custom matrices and presets with the Vienna Instruments (Pro) player. This can be done with the "save" button at the lower right in the MATRIX and PRESET tabs.

I don;t remember ever hearing about an update.  Are there other updates that I should install? Also, does it have to re-install the entire library or just the Matrices?

Please follow the link that I have provided in my previous post. There you can find all library updates for the Vienna Instruments libraries that you have registered. Instructions on how to apply them can be found in the left column. There's no need to install the full content again.
