    Hello,

    I'm asking for help because VSL Sound Sets and House Style aren't working in Sibelius.

    I un-installed and re-installed Vienna Instruments & Vienna Ensemble Software 6.5 built 18945 and Sibelius Soundset Installer v.1.0.189 and Sibelius Ultimate 8.7.2 several times, but without success.

    So, I downloaded VSL Soundsets.zip and VSL HouseStyle for Sibelius2020.zip and unzipped them. I created Sounds in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Sibelius and put the Soundsets' VE Special Edition Plus.xml in there. And I placed the Vienna Symphonic Library.lib in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Sibelius\House Style.

    When I try to create a new score in Sibelius I get an error message when choosing Vienna Symphonic Library House Style. And my VSL instruments are not listed but in Playback Devices there are Vienna Ensemble, Vienna Instruments and Vienna Imperial. In the Tab Manual Sound-Sets I find VSL Ensemble Special Edition Plus.

    I use VI Special Edition Volume 1-4 Plus, Vienna Imperial, Vienna MIR Pro 24, MIR Roompack 1 and Sibelius Ultimate 8.7.2 in Windows 10.

    I'm very grateful for any help.

    Hello Hans-Peter!

    It might be that the current version of the VSL Soundset Installer doesn't work correctly with your Sibelius version. Please try version 1.0.181 from our downloads archive. Does this version work?

    The house style file that you have downloaded requires Sibelius 2020 or higher and will not work with Sibelius 8.7.2.

    thank you for your quick reply.

    I tried the 1.0.181 VSL Soundset Installer version but it didn't work as well. The program created the folder Sounds in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Sibelius and put the several VE*.xml in there. And in C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Sibelius\House Styles the Vienna Symphonic Library.lib was created.

    When I try to create a new score it's still the same. The House Style requires an update for Sibelius and the VSL instruments are not there.

    Hello Hans-Peter!

    Ok, please replace the house style file in the folder " C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Sibelius\House Styles" with the one that is attached with this post.

    The sound sets should work with your Sibelius version. If the "Vienna Ensemble" plugin cannot be found by Sibelius, please refer to the Troubleshooting page of our Sibelius Integration manual.
