  • Disable synchron library pedal

Hi all, I am new to synchron library and wishes to disable the sustain pedal. Is there any way to do that? In the old VI library I can disable the sustain pedals on cc64 so that my strings will not slur together when playing live. Any help is appreciated!

  • Hi Thomas,

Could you please let me know which option exactly you are referring to inside the VI Player with "In the old VI library I can disable the sustain pedals on cc64" - just so that we are on the same page here.

    Best regards,
    Andreas

  • Hi Andreas,

    Very simple, go to ADVANCED,

    OPTION TAB

Look for MATRIX CC and set to 64

The sustain pedal is effectively blocked

  • Now the question is, does synchrony library has the same blockout function?

  • Hello Thomas,

Thank you for the screenshot. When you hover over the "Matrix CC" field inside the VI Player you will find a tool tip popping up explaining what this feature does:

Control Change number reserved for Matrix switching

That does not mean that the pedal signal is disabled. It just means that your CC 64 is triggering a different feature.

Since the Matrix concept from the VI Player was replaced with the Dimension Trees inside Vienna Synchron Player, you won't find such a "Matrix CC" option there, sorry.

    Best regards,
    Andreas
