Thank you for your reply. The reason I liked that old option was that, for example, I have a very fast passage where the music alternates quickly between staccato and short slurred agile legato notes. If I am controlling both with velocity and not CC1, the staccato at a given velocity is much louder than the agile legato, so it means I have to go in and adjust lots of individual note velocities individually. In VI Pro I would just set the bottom of the velocity curve lower for that patch.

There is no velocity curve option in Synchron Player. So it's not possible to make individual velocity settings for different slots.
With the "Dynamic Range" fader you can compress the dynamic range of all slots in general. So you could automate this fader if you want different settings at different places in your score.
