  • Synchron Smart Hits - Subbooms & Studio One 5.2 Sound Variation issue

    Hello all

Is it just me, or with Studio One 5.2 and the Subbooms patch of Smart Hits (from both Root Key Mapping and Tonal Mapping), there is are some midi notes dead and not coming through the player?

for Smart Hits -> 01 Root key mapping -> G# Subbooms, the following midi notes are not working from C1 to D#2. When I click on the piano note of the player, the sample is played, but either midi event coming from the DAW is not working.,

For Smart Hits -> 02 Tonal mapping -> G# Subbooms, the following midi notes are not working either: from C1 to A1.

There are no issues when I am using the Synchron Player outside of the DAW.

I suppose it is an issue with the new Sound Variations.

Any advise on how to fix this?

    Cheers

    Christian

  • Hi Chris,

    Thanks for reporting.

It looks like Studio One doesn't play back any samples that are mapped to keys that contain a keyswitch anywhere else in the preset... The simplest workaround is to move the play range of the affected articulations (Hits, Organic Hits and Subbooms) one octave up, like in the attached screenshot.

How do you like the Sound Variations so far?

  • Hi Paul

Sorry I saw your answer so late. Works like a charm! Thanks

I love both the Sounds Variations and the VSL libraries :) The S1 sound variations just enhanced so much my whole VSL libraries experience. It is just a blast now!!!

I am utterly enjoying composing with all these articulations without having to micro manage anything! It just works!

    Cheers

    Chris
