  • "Could not load" error

    Hello,

A few days ago I installed the Smart Orchestra XP and Big Bang Orchestra (free) packages, but they won't load. I get the message "Could not load '<preset name>'." for Big Bang and all three Smart Orchestra XP presets. I also own the base Smart Orchestra library (obviously), and its presets are working fine.

After installing SOXP and BBO on my system drive, I was forced to move all my VSL content to another drive, together with SO. I never tried loading them from the system drive where they were initially installed. The Directory Manager procedure didn't work--there were no factory presets available in Synchron--but after using the in-plugin settings window to choose the new directories, they appeared.

I had a problem with registering the license. One of the two libraries (I forget which) reported an error while attempting to register. I tried again, but the 2nd time it said "this code has already been used." I should have recorded some exact details, but something else needed my attention and I didn't get back to it until today.

    What should I do?

  • Hi again,

Yesterday I needed to use the VSO XP.  I retried the links in my order confirmation (the ones that open VSL Downloader).  It downloaded and installed, but still won't load.  The licenses appear on the key in Elicenser Control Panel.  But the error message "Could not load '11 Smart Orchestra XP'." still appears.  I can't do anything with this nondescript error message.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi,

Sorry that your initial posting slipped through.

I checked and found that your key holds your 3 licenses, so you should be fine.

    Here's what I'd do:

    1) Delete your existing sample content

    2) Download and install all files again, you find the download files here: https://www.vsl.co.at/en/MyVSL/SY_Library_Downloads

If this doesn't work, please contact us directly via support@vsl.co.at, with a link to this thread.

    Thanks,
    Paul

  • I got it to work.  The problem was that Synchron wasn't up to date enough to play the newer content.  (The version number is printed in the upper left of the plugin in light grey on a slightly lighter grey background.)

The license also appears to be working.  I'm not sure what happened there, but it's fixed now.
