Looking at the piano vst's it says a minimum of 16gb ram is required. Has anyone monitored their ram usage whilst playing one of the vsl piano libraries? If so how much ram did it actually use?
I am interested in the vsl bosendorfer pianos but I might lean towards the Garritan FX if it means I would have to pay £60+ for a ram aluphrade aswell.
For reference: I have only used a couple of piano vst's before (native instruments and xln) but both of those only used 1.5gb ram in practice, and my whole system has never used more than 6gb of ram (I have 8gb). So despite the claim of 16gb ram being meccesary it would be nice to know some real world figures. My graphics card also has 8gb memory, not sure of that has any effect, I doubt it.
