OPUS user

To VSL OPUS user,

I'm having a hard time positioning or setting up the instruments, not quite happy about my settings now. I use Logic EXS & still experimenting some patches using K2. I need some recommendations or advise on how to do it properly or improve a bit with the spacing. I use space designer for my reverbs. I'm sure some of you guys did a good job with this kind of setup or using with other libs. Here's a piece that I sequence using the vsl opus, let me know how can I improve my positioning/pan/space.

Hi jackULL

The secret is to use "several depths": One for instruments which are playing far away, one for instruments which have a position near you (as listener) and so on. It is very easy to set those positions if you have GigaPulse, Altiverb... But you use the Space Designer as I can read. Visit my tutorial "VSL AUDIO". I am sure you will be able to adapt the information there to your Logic system without any problems.

I really appreciate your reply with a very exhaustive explanation at your website. I will try this set up using my existing Space Designer within Logic. Otherwise I'll get the AltiVerb if I'm not satisfy.

It sounds like Altiverb is a freeware reverb... [:D] [:D] [:D]
