  • Synchron Boessendorfer and Cubase Pro 11

I recently purchased VSL’s Synchron Boesendorfer Imperial – full version and am having an issue

My DAW (Cubase Pro 11) does not recognize (include in the list of VST instruments) any of my Synchron programs: Big Bank Orchestra; Big Bank Orchestra – Formax; Epic Orchestra 2.0; and, Synchron Pianos Boesendorfer Imperial.

I have downloaded the Vienna Synchron Pianos program which allows me to play the Boesendorfer as a standalone; however, as said, Cubase does not recognize or include it as a VST.  The folder Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 contains several Vienna Ensemble Pro files; Vienna Synchron Pianos files; and, Vienna Synchron Player files.  All of the *.vsynvolume files (Big Bang Orchestra; Big Bang Orchestra – Formax; Epic Orchestra 2.0; and, Synchron Pianos Boesendorfer Imperial) are in a folder called “Bienna Epic Orchestra” on my Desktop.  This is where the VSL Download Manager put them.

My computer is and iMAC (Retina 5k, 27-inch, 2019); Processor 3.7 Ghz Intel Core i5; and I have 64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 of ram.

I need a step-by-step guide telling me what to do so that Cubase recognizes the listed VSL instruments.  Please advise.

  • Hi! Please try completely closing Cubase (not only the window, fully close the process) and re-open it to re-trigger plugin scanning. Best, Ben
