  • VEP Routing in Kontakt

    Hello,

I'm experiencing routing issues whilst building template in VEP7 and Logic Pro X.

I'm using 16 tracks per instance (using auxes) and whenever I'm on an instrument that has output 14 or 15 in Kontakt, it splits the output to output 15 or 16 as well. If I delete output 14/15, the instrument becomes mono which results sounding very weak and narrow.

The weird thing about this is that Kontakt doesn't show that inst with out 14/15 goes to 15/16 as well, but in VEP and in Logic I can see that clearly.

I'm creating as many stereo outputs as there are instruments within one instance. I've realised that selecting batch functions - create new output for each instruments, messes everything up so I've tried setting each output manually. All output numbers within Kontakt, VEP and Logic match each other so I have no idea why this would occur. I'm not experiencing any issues in any other outputs apart from 14 and 15.

I've also tried creating 16 tracks with auxes using Kontakt as a plug in rather than Kontakt inside VEP and I did not experience the same issue, so I really think the problem lies somewhere inside of VEP.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi,

It is crucial to check "Make this your default configuration" after setting up Kontakt outputs (please see screenshot), then save your project and restart VE Pro - this should resolve your problem!
