  • Vienna Synchron Pianos Standalone doesn't remember UI scaling %

I am running the Bosendorfer Upright with the Synchron Pianos Standalone app  (Windows 10). I have set the UI scaling to 150%, but everytime I quit and restart the software, scaling is back to 100%.

Is there a way to save the UI scaling, so it will start with the "correct" setting?

  • Hi Gustar,

Thanks for the reminder, this has been bugging me for quite some time as well. I have added it to our to-do-list.

    Hi Paul,

Great to hear that this feature might be added in the future! 😊

EDIT: Suggested auto-load feature and realized it's already included. 😃

If it's possible please consider tweaking the volume settings of the factory presets to make them more even. Unfortunately, I constantly have to adjust the main volume setting while browsing through the otherwise great presets. For example, between the "Concert" and "Pop" preset there seems to be a difference of ~4dB when hitting a key. Or did I miss something?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Gustar,

Glad you found the auto-load feature.

Regarding volume: Pop pianos are usually a bit more aggressive. Feel free to customize those presets as you see fit!

  • I am certainly not criticizing the sound of the Pop piano preset itself which is spot on, but I must admit I do find such a difference in preset volume a bit suprising, since no other piano product I own uses audible volume levels to differentiate between presets.
Of course you are correct, I could just tweak all presets and save them in the users section to my heart's content, so it is certainly not a major issue. Still, I really do like the design with the 6 large factory preset buttons on the main page, so maybe it's something you can keep in mind for upcoming products.
