Hi,
I think I'm missing some key information about using VSL expression maps in Cubase. There's a lot out there about it, and I've spent hours scanning the forums and haven't been able to figure it out.
I recently got the VI Woodwinds 1 Standard library. I downloaded the expression maps and loaded them up, along with the presets. Something is very wrong. First of all, the keyswitches are offset by a minor 3rd, and I can't figure out why. I get the correct notes when playing in the instruments range, but when I play a C0 for example, VI interprets it as D#0. Also, I don't get how switching to a different matrix works.
I tried simply making my own expression map, and had a similar problem. VI wouldn't respond to keyswitches, even though it was responding to notes in the instrument's range.
Usually I'm pretty patient at figuring stuff out using the vast amount of information available, but I'm not getting anywhere with this. I don't have VEPro, is that the problem? Can anyone point me in the direction of an article or tutorial that will explain how expression maps actually work in VI?
