Hi,
I have a question with regard to Midi Setup in Dorico and Cubase. In both Cubase and Dorico I have to activate Midi Thru, if I don't do that, I won't get any sound from my VSTs.
Since I have an annoying latency in Dorico, I wonder if it is related to the fact that I have to activate Midi Thru.
I don't have the latency in Cubase when Midi Thru is activated, but Dorico possibly may not get along so well with Midi Thru.
I have a Yamaha Clavinova CLP 585 that is connected to the computer via USB. I also use a Roland Quad Capture UA 55 as an audio interface, which is also connected to the computer via USB.
If I have deactivated Midi Thru, Dorico shows me that it is receiving midi signals, but I still don't hear any sound from my VST. When I press the VST keyboard with the mouse, I hear a sound. So without Midi Thru I can't play VSTs with my e-piano. As I said in Cubase, that's not a problem, but in Dorico it could be the cause of annoying latency.
Maybe someone has ideas how I can deactivate midi thru and still be able to play the VSTs with my electric piano.
How is the midi setup for you, do you have to activate midi thru?
Greetings
