  • sound at key release

    Hello,

    I am working with the VI PRO player and the trumpet library.  I noticed some samples, such as the various portamentos, have a quick sound that is triggered - perhaps a release sample, after the sample has played for its full duration and the key is lifted.  This is not a problem, or not noticeable if you release the key during the sample, but if you let the sample run its full duration, and then lift the key, it is audible.  Is there a workaround for this?  There are times when I do want to sample played at its full duration, and would like to lift the key to move on to the next note without the trigger of what I believe is a release sample.

    You can disable the release-sound by disabling the "Release" option in VI PRO (advanced view, screenshot element 13):

    You can also automate this. By default it is assigned to CC29, but you can change that in the "Controller Map" area:
