  • Alternation mode question

    Hey,

Usually when choosing my articulations within Alternation mode I have to kinda scroll through the different articualtions, but in the promotional video for the Alternation tool on the VSL website the guy does this cool thing where he clicks an 'arrow' beneath each articualtions 'box' and he can choose his articulation from an drop-down list.

I don't have that option, can anyone tell me how to get it? Do I need a newer version? I have V.2.0.

    Many thanks,

    *Rob.

  • Okey, when I have to get surgery to fix the repetive stress-injury in my wrists from scrolling so much through articualtions, I am going fund-raising around the houses of the 35 people who viewed this thread but haven't posted. [:D] [[;)]]

    But seriously, anyone?

  • Hi Rob,

in EXS 24 you have the choice in the Style Display, on a PC this doesn´t work unfortunately.

If you are working on a PC, the latest version of the Performance Tool is 2.1.1, to be found in your user area www.vsl.co.at/user

    Greetings,

  • Aw, pity. Thanks anyway, Paul!

  • As one of those 35 people, I would like to add that the scrolling happens less and less once you have been using the tool for a while. All you have to do is save multiple templates under intuitive names such as SfzStacc1Stacc2 and the next time that you have to use a similar pattern there is virtually no scrolling, as all you have to do is load the one that you prepared earlier (ooo, a Blue Peter moment if ever I had one [*-)]).

Yes - this week, we'll be teaching you how to play the flute - you put your fingers here -and you blow in there.

Now moving on to making a model of the Titanic, using used fairy liquid bottles, children.

Hmmmmmm. This reminds me of a lesson I was given from a dancer who was telling me the best way to influence a conductor:

"Sit on his lap and wiggle around until the piccolo becomes a flute and he'll conduct any tempo that you request". How this works with female conductors I don't know [[:|]]

    [:D] [:P] [:O]ops:

Not much else to add on that! Except I'm off to play golf - learnt how to play years ago courtesy of Blue Peter - how to become a scratch golfer in 5 minutes featuring Val Singleton.
