which sounset for trumpets a6

hi guys n gals..i am having a few problems with finding the right soundset for the fanfare trumpets a6. I am trying to set up a template and have so far cpme into lots of issues.Obviously choosing the right preset in vienna instruments pro is key.i have the specisl edition plus 1 and 2 so the presets are straight forward and work fine.I bought epic horns seperately and found after a bery long winded effort to get those working using the ve woodwind and brass preset in instruments pro..now..for the life of me i cant find the correct preset for thge fanfare trumpets.I have bought these seperately as a single full library.I can see it comes up in the sibelius soundset EPIC orchestra and slightly works with staccato and dynamics but does NOT switch to sfz or performance legato.

my question is..which preset works best with my single purchase of fanfare trumpets. so all articulations work.?

do i need to download seperate epic orchestra presets for viena instruments pro as they dont show up.

please help..this is driving me nuts,

If you are unsure which Sibelius sound set to use, you can always look that up in our "Sibelius Integration" tutorial.

For the Fanfare Trumpets (single instrument full), you will need the "VE Woodwinds+Brass" sound set, the Manual Sound Sets program "Trumpet Ensemble a6" and the following VI preset:
Sibelius\Woodwinds+Brass 2.6\- Single Instruments\Single Instruments Full\D74 Trumpets-a6 full

thank you for your speedy reply.I have tried the settings as you said and the articulations do not trigger properly.I have started a blank page...set up an instrument trumpet..then configured the soundset to woodwinds and brass trumpet ensemble a6...aswell as the instrument in vsl ensemble.

the first notes i input in sibelius are staccato notes..if i try and switch them to legato or put a slur or trill nothing happens..just plays sus.Am i doing something wrong..i have imported the house style..i have the latest version of sibelius 2020..mac.i was getting some response with articulation changes using epic orchestra soundset trumpets a6. but would not switch to sfz or legato either..

i just figured it out..i didnt realise i had to put a techmique text a6 to get it to work..there is no info on this i just did it by accident..hopefully it works now..thank you.ed

Thanks for letting us know how you were able to solve the problem. Normally the "a6" command shouldn't be necessary, but if you have a playback configuration that includes another sound set that includes trumpets as well (like VE Special Edition), the a6 command may be necessary indeed to clarify which sound set to use.
