Vibraphone problem
Hi I’m working on a piece for Brass and Percussion which was going well, all sounds working correctly, and I decided I needed a vibraphone, but when it plays back it is a glockenspiel. I have a glockenspiel on channel 6 of the Sibelius mixer, and the Vibraphone is on 9. The Vibraphone is loaded in VE, and plays correctly in VE. I noticed when I adjust the pan in Sibelius for the glockenspiel, the Vibraphone pan also changes, which doesn’t make sense as they are on different channels. Philip

Problem solved by saving and closing both Sibelius and VE. On restart the correct sound finally played. However, this brings me an irritating problem- how to open Sibelius and VE without hassle. If I open Sibelius first, and then start VE and load the project, the project has to reload when I connect Sibelius to VE. If I start VE first followed by Sibelius, VE sometimes crashes when I choose the playback set up at the beginning of startup for Sibelius. Alternatively it doesn’t crash, but once again VE has to reload the project. Is there any way of avoiding this? Philip

Hello Phil!
It's not necessary to open Vienna Ensemble at all, when you work with Sibelius. It should be loaded automatically with your Sibelius Playback Configuration.
In case you mean Vienna Ensemble Pro, it's necessary to start Vienna Ensemble Pro Server, before loading your Sibelius project and the playback configuration. Only then the VE Pro plugin can connect to the VE Pro Server.
If Vienna Ensemble or VE Pro crashes, please first update to the latest software version. If the problem remains, please send your crash report to support@vsl.co.at.
Best regards,
Andi

Hi Andi
My VE PRO is already uo to date. So that must mean that I have to put up with the VE Pro Server reloading after the initial startup. If it crashes again I will send the report to you.
