    Hello Ben,

how much SSD-Space do both have? Maybe I'm blind ... I don't find the info.

    Thanks.

  • You are right, I've looked this up: ~8.5GB for Lyra, ~9GB for Musca.

Thanks, WOW that's SSD-friendly data ... will be bought soon :)

  • I just purchased the Big Bang Orchestra String Pack, but don't quite understand why the "High Strings" (Lyra) does not include the pitch range of violin from G3 to C4 (middle C). If I want to write a melody for violin, there is no way to use "High Strings" library since it lacks the notes on G string. Is there any chance to expand the pitch range of "high strings" so as to cover the lower part of violin pitch range in the future ?

  • Hi Ondine,

Please click on the double-arrow next to the virtual keyboard in Synchron Player to allow adjusting the keyboard range of the currently selected slot.

  • Do you plan to release demo versions, too?

    Hi,

We might add demo licenses later on in the introduction period for our super-sceptical users 😉.

There are some demos, tutorials, reviews and walkthroughs still in the works, which will provide more information.

    Best,
    Paul

Sounds good! I'm not sceptical at all, but it's always better to be able to play the instruments instead of listening to demos. 😉

I have so many VSL libraries and I don't know if I really need these, although they do sound gorgeous (the same for the brass!).

P.S. I read somewhere that you have to pay for the demo downloads (traffic). Maybe you could make demo licenses for a very low price, e.g. 5 Euros. I would rather prefer paying this small amount instead of paying the introduction price. Just an idea...

These libraries are very light. Very little impact on the CPU, as well.

Hi Marnix, but can the Violins and Viola ranges be set separately? I don't have the library yet, but can see that there is no way to separate the one from the other. If so, is the lower Viola range (C3-B3) accessible? Or did sampling start from C4?

Since Violins and Viola play on octave, does this mean that playing a C4 plays C4 on the Violins, and C3 on the Viola?

  • According to the demos the tone of those 2 libraries is gorgeous. It's lush, warm and organic, definitely the flavour I would have hoped for Synchron Strings, which in my opinion sound surgical and thin in comparison.

  • Hi PaoloT,

The sections cannot be separated, they are recorded in octaves.

We will add some free demo licenses a bit later on, so you can scrutinize those new strings before you purchase.

@9u10m: Glad you like those strings!

    Paul
