  • Cubase 10.0.60 crashes every time when opening a project

    Hi!

I've been using Synchron Player and Synchron-ized Special Editions successfully for a year or so, and generally I've been very happy with your work, so thank you for that!

However, now I've run into problem that every time I open a project in Cubase that has Synchron Player VST in it, Cubase crashes. Every single time. Cubase opens up, I can see my project for like three seconds, and then Cubase closes. It doesn't matter if it's an old project or a new one that I've just created.

If I create a new project, add a Synchron Player VST in it, I can select any instrument I want, and use it just fine. But, when I save the project and try to open it again, Cubase crashes. Every single time. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Cubase and Synchron Player once, without any effect.

I'm using Windows 10, Cubase 10.0.60 and the newest, v1906 of Synchron Player.

  • Hi,

We will need a few of the latest Cubase crashdumps so we can analyze the problem.
Please locate them in your Documents folder -> /Documents/Steinberg/Crash Dumps and send us the latest ~3 dumps to support@vsl.co.at

    Best, Ben

Hi, what is the status with this? I sent you the crashdumps a month ago, but I have not heard you from since. I'm still suffering from the same problem.

  • Hi Niko,

Sorry for not coming back to you. I have looked up the case and decoded the dumps, but it looks like the crash is happening in a part that we can't decode / that happens in Cubase' part of the code, which only Steinberg can decode.
For this reason I would recommend to contact Steinberg's support.
Have you tried to use Vienna Ensemble to host the Synchron Player instead? You can use the free version under MyVSL. If you don't see it there contact us via mail and we send you the download link asap.

    Best, Ben
