  • Sibelius 20.3 with VEPro 7 connections problem

I'm using Sib.20.3 with VEPro 7.0.973 and am try to connect Sib. properly with VEPro.I create Flute&Clarinet with VSL House Stayle in Sib. and then create a manual SSet in Sib. wit VEPro VST. and set the appropriate channels.I then open an instance of VEpro -create two channels and load the Sib. Instruments into them.

My Problem is- I click on the Flute Ch. 1 I play my keyboard(keys move  - Flute sounds.

I click on the Clarinet  Ch. 2 I play my keyboard - Flute sounds but no clarinet sound (Keys do not move)

This worked in earlier versions with older Files. Please see attached Phote of the setup.

  • Hello Stanley!

It can have different reasons why instruments play on the wrong channel. It has nothing to do with the software version though. Sibelius 20.3 works fine with VE Pro 7.0.973 here.

I have seen on your screenshot that you have assigned outputs in the Sibelius mixer. Generally it is recommended to leave the output device and channel settings in the Sibelius mixer alone. Making settings there can mess up the playback. Please reset all outputs in the Sibelius mixer to (Auto).

If this doesn't solve the problem, please check the Troubleshooting chapter of the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual. All possible reasons that come to my mind are listed there.
