  • Hello Dave!

If you use Vienna Ensemble, you can load Synchron Player inside to play on up to 16 channels on up to 8 banks.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • Thank you Andi for your solution   Dave

  •

I am having a problem assigning unique Synchron Instrument Players to unique Finale Channels

Score Manager > Edit Player > Set Instrument Preset (Fr Horn) For Channel 1 (Prg 1, Bank 1)

Score Manager > Edit Player > Set Instrument Preset (Violins) For Channel 2 (Prg 1, Bank 1)

Check Results ... Channel 1 Is Set To Violins Rather Than Fr Horns

Can Someone Please Tell mMe What I Am Doing Wrong

  • Hello Dave!

It's hard to tell from your description where it goes wrong. Can you post screenshots of the Finale Score Manager and the channel list in Vienna Ensemble?

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • Hello Andi, and thank you for your assistance.

I have attached screen shots for each step in the process (as described in my previous post).

Clicking Edit Player (in Score Manager) works properly to set up the first Synchron Player for the selected Channel  (Channel 4 = Fr Horns).

The problem is that clicking Edit Player for a different Channel (Channel 7 in Score Manager) reopens the previous Synchron Player.  Setting the Synchron Player for the new Channel and instrument (Channel 7 = Violins) merely replaces the Channel 4 Fr Horns.

Thus, I cannot assign specific Synchron Players to different Channels.

Please be aware I can assign individual Synchron Players to each of the 8 Banks in the Audio Units Banks & Effects.

I do not know where to find the Channel List in Vienna Ensemble when using Synchron Players

Thank you again, Andi, for any assistance you can provide.

  • Hello Dave!

I have seen on your screenshots that you have added Synchron Player directly in Finale. Synchron Player is not a multitimbral instrument. One Synchron Player can only play on one channel. That's where Vienna Ensemble (Pro) comes into play. Please load Vienna Ensemble (Pro) in Finale. Then you can load Synchron Player in Vienna Ensemble on different channels.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • Hello Andi

Thanks again ... I finally understand how it all comes together in Finale ...

Set up a Vienna Ensemble Pro Player in Audio Units Banks & Effects (not a Synchron Player)

Set up Vienna Ensemble Pro Players in Device Column of Score Manager

Set up individual Synchron Players for each Channel in the Vienna Ensemble Player

Works great ... thanks for your patience during your busy life, Andi

  • Hi Andi,

I am new to VSL. I have purchased Synchro Strings Pro.  I installed it and saw that Vienna Ensemble, Vienna Synchron Player are also installed. I am using Finale 27. Is there a basic tutorial you can point me to so I can get the strings playing with my score?

  • Hi!

Our Synchron Player and Vienna Ensemble tutorial videos will help you with the first steps using our libraries.

To switch articulations with Finale, I recommend using the Keyswitch Dump for Finale that we have prepared. You can download it with Vienna Assistant under Additionals/Notation. A pdf-file with instructions is included.

    Best regards,
