  • Chamber Strings

    Good morning all,

I am totally lost in my choice between "Chamber Strings Bundle" and "SYNCHRON-ized Chamber Strings".

    Can you help me?

    Be careful

    Philippe

  • Hi Philippe,

Best way to find out is to compare the sound of these two libraries:
    https://www.vsl.co.at/de/Synchron_Package/Synchron_Chamber_Strings#!Demos
    https://www.vsl.co.at/de/Chamber_Strings_Bundle/Chamber_Strings_I#!Demos

Even if these two libraries are based on the same recordings, the SYNCHRON-ized version was completly remastered from the source recording material, which results in a different sound.

But maybe you like both, in which case I recommend to get the VI Chamber Strings, and then upgrade to the SYNCHRON-ized Chamber Strings for just 265€. This will give you access to both libraries.

    Best, Ben

  • I recommend the VI Chamber Strings. It's a wonderful library. In the SYNCHRON-ized library, the sustain and legato articulations are beautiful, especially the soft legato patch, but the short notes (staccato and spiccato) sound synthy to me, especially for the violins. It sounds like they cut too much attack during the editing. Just my opinion.

    Best,
