    Hello,

    I just got the AS full library but have a lot of (possibly naive) questions that I hope can get answered:

    1. How do I activate the performance trill for different trill intervals...for eg.., minor vs major second trills from Sibelius? Is this patch mainly for playing through the keyboard or can it be triggered from software?

    2. What is the difference between 'perf_legato' (standard library) and 'perf_legato_4vel' (extended lib.). Is the latter consist of more recorded velocity layers? I found it difficult to distinguish the sounds from these two. Is there in general more layers in the extended library compared to the standard for the other articulations?

    3. In the list of patches, there is also a VIOLINS 2 (..VI-20 vs VI-20B)? Are these separately recorded for use as second violins?

    Hello Anand, 

    1) The performance trills are very fast legato transitions with a round robin of transitions, they are designed to let you play trills and runs in any tempo you like. They are not pre-recorded trills, but the perfect articulation to perform trills yourself. 

    2) Yes, 'perf_legato_4vel' contains 4 velocities, very nice for any work with Velocity XFade or if you need very detailed dynamics in general. The amount of velocities is usually the same for Standard and Full Library, this is an exception.

    3) The second violins contain a pitched version of the normal, first violins, with the basic articulations to provide yo with a second violin section, when needed.
