    Hello and HNY!

    I've built a slave and I've installed VEP on a fresh install of Windows 10 home.

    When I start VEP 7 I get this error - "No MIDI devices are configred. Please review audio/MIDI preferences". VEP then starts but without the ability to create a new instance.

    I've not seen this before. I've poked around in VEP but I can't see how to fix and googling doesn't turn up much.

    I'm also can't connect to the slave from my master with my firewall off. I don't know if this is related or not. Frustrating.

    Does anyone know what is going on?

    Hi J, 

    Sounds like you are starting the STANDALONE version of VE Pro. 

    Please click "START" => "Vienna Ensemble Pro" and launch the VE Pro SERVER (64 bit), then it will work fine.
